In addition to our standard services at Hickory Acres, we also have other offerings that may interest you.
Precise Brand Pet Food
We offer Precise Brand pet food in house to all of our boarders and are a Precise Brand retailer. Precise is a high quality food that gives your pet all the essential proteins, fats and supplemental vitamins they need without extra fillers and by-products. We currently offer the following formulas for dogs:
· Puppy
· Senior
· Plus Adult
· Holistic - Large & Giant Breed
We have sample sizes for sale in our main office as well as 15 and 30 lb varieties in most formulas. For cats, we offer Precise Feline Foundation in a 15 lb size.
When you buy your first bag of food from us, don't forget to sign up for our Frequent Buyer Program! After you buy 10 bags of food from Hickory Acres that are the same size and brand, simply return your old UPCs in the envelope provided and you will receive your 11th bag of food for FREE. This free program is a great way to save money and take advantage of a quality product.
Playtime
Playtime sessions give your dog the opportunity to play one-on-one with a staff member in one of our five large grassy play areas for 15 minutes at a time. We know that all pets are different, so playtime activities are determined by your dog's interest. Some like to chase a ball around the yard, others like to explore and some just like some good old fashion TLC. Playtimes can be done as frequently as you would like, whether it be once a day, a couple times a day, or every other day. Each 15 minute session is $6.00 and can be decided upon at check-in. Pleaes note that the rate for this service is per family and NOT per dog. If you have two dogs boarding with us and want playtime for both, it will be $6.00 per session for both dogs.
The same playtime service is available for cats, too! During these sessions, your cat will be brushed, cuddled and free to explore their surroundings to their heart’s content.
Medication Administration
We will be happy to administer medication to your pet during their stay at Hickory Acres. Simply bring in your pet's medication, dosage schedule and whatever your pet likes to take the medicine in (cheese, peanut butter, bread, etc) and we‘ll take care of the rest. We charge a nominal $0.50 fee each time medication is administered and $1.00 for injections.
Pick Up & Delivery
Our pick up and delivery service is a perk that many of our customers take advantage of. If you don't have the time to pick up or drop off your pet or don't want to drive in bad weather, just give us a call and we'll do the work for you. This service is available Monday - Friday between 1 and 3 PM. Please call our office for rate information and service areas.
